English, Explained micro-groups are deliberately limited to just three students.
Students benefit from discussion, shared ideas and learning alongside others, while the group remains small enough for individual guidance, questioning and feedback.

With just three students in each micro-group, students benefit from expert teaching, individual feedback and the opportunity to learn alongside others — at £25 per 60-minute session.

No large classes. No sitting quietly at the back. Every student has the opportunity to contribute, ask questions and receive individual support.

A supportive group of three creates plenty of opportunities to discuss ideas and practise articulating responses.

With only three students, I can still identify individual strengths, misconceptions and areas for development.

Students are grouped with others at a similar stage of their studies, taking into account their year group, course, exam board and learning needs.
This allows sessions to remain focused and relevant to everyone in the group.
How it works

01 - Register your interest
Tell me about your child's year group, course, exam board, areas for development and availability.

02 - I'll match the group
I'll identify students at a similar stage who would work well together. Groups are formed with three students.

03 - Your place is confirmed
Once all three places are filled, I'll contact you with the proposed start date and payment details. Tuition is then booked in half-term blocks.

When will my child’s group begin?
Micro-groups begin once three suitably matched students have confirmed their places.
If only one or two students are currently waiting for a particular group, I'll keep your details on the interest list and contact you when the remaining place(s) have been filled.

Open to students in Years 10 and 11. Groups are carefully matched according to course content, set texts where relevant, and individual learning needs.

60-minute weekly sessions developing reading, writing and exam skills across AQA English Language.

Autumn Half-Term · 6-week programme
Tuesdays · 5:00–6:00pm
£150 per student
£25 per 60-minute session
60-minute weekly sessions developing textual knowledge, analysis and confident essay writing, with students carefully matched according to their set texts.
Maximum 3 students · AQA · In person in Exeter
Places are booked for the full six-week programme and payment is made in advance. The programme will begin once three suitably matched students have confirmed their places.
